Steps to Start ILS Services

1. Contact Your Regional Center

​

The first step is speaking with Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) or your local regional center.

​

Discuss:

• Current support needs

• Goals for independence

• Interest in ILS services

​

2. Request an Assessment

​

Your regional center will review whether ILS is appropriate based on:

• Independent living skills

• Safety awareness

• Daily living needs

• Personal goals

​

3. Choose an ILS Provider

​

Choose Bay Liberty as your agency. Once we are selected we will:

• Schedule an introduction meeting

• Learn about the individual’s goals and routines

• Review schedules and preferred support style

• Begin creating a personalized support plan

​

4. Complete Intake & Enrollment

​

Bay Liberty will assist with:

• Intake paperwork

• Service agreements

• Emergency contacts

• Scheduling availability

• Staff matching

We also provide guidance through every step so families never feel overwhelmed.

​

5. Staff Matching & Training

​

We  select support staff based on:

• Personality fit

• Schedule compatibility

• Support needs

• Experience and training

​​

All staff complete:

• DOJ/FBI background clearance

• CPR & First Aid certification

• Training requirements

• Ongoing supervision and support​

​

6. Services Begin

​

Once authorization is approved and staffing is ready:

• A weekly schedule is created

• Goals are implemented

• Progress is documented

• Communication with families and case managers begins
